Qatari Arabians Prove Their Supremacy: Hamad Bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah
Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah, Chairman of the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC), expressed his delight at Qatar's commanding victories at Saint-Cloud yesterday.
“First, I would like to thank H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, for attending today's races. His presence added greatly to the excitement of the wins, and having him personally present the trophies brought extra momentum to both the races and this major event in France, being associated with the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe weekend,” he said.
He added:“Qatar's outstanding success in Purebred Arabian racing is no accident. It reflects the attention and support given by the country's authorities to this discipline, which has been key to our achievements. Qatar has long been a leader in this field, and there is no doubt about the supremacy of Qatari Arabian horses. Today, Al Wasmiyah Racing's Laffan and Al Shaqab Racing's Subahiyah proved that beyond question. We hope to continue these victories in this year's edition of the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, which will benefit Qatari racing and enhance its global standing. This event attracts worldwide attention and is regarded as one of the strongest and most prestigious events internationally, thanks to the quality of the horses competing in all divisions.”
He concluded:“Races will continue tomorrow and the day after at ParisLongchamp. I wish Qatari owners continued success, particularly in the contests with major international titles, especially the Qatar Arabian World Cup to further strengthen Qatar's leadership in Purebred Arabian racing worldwide.”
