Justin Reich is an associate professor of digital media at MIT. He started his career leading outdoor expeditions and teaching wilderness medicine, taught high school history, and then founded a consultancy that worked with schools on technology integration. At MIT, he studies how schools use technology and how teachers learn to improve in their work. He's the author of several books, including Failure to Disrupt: Why Technology Alone Can't Transform Education and Iterate: The Secret to Innovation in Schools. He's the host of the TeachLab podcast (teachlabpodcast), and the director of the MIT Teaching Systems Lab mit).
