Türkiye's Defense, Aerospace Exports Soar with Strategic Vision
(MENAFN) Between January and September, Türkiye's defense and aerospace sectors recorded a remarkable 39% increase in exports compared to the same timeframe the previous year, reaching a total of $6 billion.
This development was announced on Thursday by the head of Türkiye’s defense industries agency.
According to Haluk Gorgun, the head of the Defense Industries Secretariat, "This rise, achieved thanks to the will and strong support of our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is not just a numerical success; it is also the global manifestation of Turkish engineering, our domestic production ecosystem, and our strategic vision." Gorgun shared his remarks on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.
In the month of September alone, exports from the defense and aerospace industries totaled $574 million, underscoring the continuing upward momentum.
Gorgun underlined that Türkiye’s focus on industrial policies, production based on engineering excellence, and a commitment to sustainability ensures that every system it creates is dependable not just for current use but also for long-term deployment.
"This vision makes our defense and aerospace industry a global player," Gorgun pointed out, highlighting the sector’s increasing international prominence.
He further noted that Türkiye's collaborative efforts on the global stage, including joint ventures and solutions tailored for the surrounding regions, strengthen its position as a trustworthy international partner.
Gorgun emphasized that these robust partnerships with allied and friendly countries not only promote peace and regional stability but also play a critical role in elevating Türkiye’s export achievements.
This strategic growth reflects the country’s determination to become a leader in the global defense and aerospace landscape, backed by innovation and strong leadership.
