Palestinian FM Condemns Israeli Occupation Attack On Gaza Flotilla

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, Oct 2 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday condemned the Israeli occupation attack on ships of the humanitarian flotilla Global Sumud as a breach of international law and norms.
In a press release, the ministry voiced extreme concern over the safety of more than 470 participants in the humanitarian initiative, calling on the Israeli occupation to ensure their safety.
It underlined that the humanitarian flotilla Global Sumud is a peaceful civilian initiative aiming at breaking the inhumane and illegal Israeli blockage on the Gaza Strip, and ending the Israeli occupation's starvation policy and genocidal war.
Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday attacked ships of the humanitarian flotilla Global Sumud as they approached the shores of Gaza amid calls on the Israeli occupation government to respect international law, including maritime law. (end)
