Erdogan Emphasizes Türkiye’s Pursuit of F-35

(MENAFN) Türkiye is actively monitoring the acquisition process of F-35 fighter jets, stated President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday.

He declared, "We told them (the US), ‘We paid, yet you still haven’t delivered the F-35s. That’s it. Now we’re following up’," during a reception held at the Turkish parliament.

The previous Thursday, a meeting took place at the White House between US President Donald Trump and Turkish President Erdogan, where the F-35 matter was a key topic on the agenda.

Following the discussion, Trump commented that the leaders "had a very good conversation having to do with the purchase of military equipment."
