Poland Opens New Training Center For Ukrainian Soldiers
“The opening of the center demonstrates the ability to train Ukrainian soldiers in large numbers, in a good location - the Subcarpathian region near Ukraine - on a training ground that is truly beginning a second life. This training ground is gaining capabilities it has never had before,” said Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
The Polish official thanked the Norwegian side for the swift implementation of the idea. He stressed the importance of allies using Ukraine's battlefield experience.
“Next to us is a runway for launching drones. There is a space for studying the experience of the ongoing war in Ukraine, implementing the best solutions, and developing counter-drone capabilities, as well as the use of drones already in service with the Ukrainian army,” Kosiniak-Kamysz underlined.
The center is located at the Land Forces Training Center Dęba-Lipa. It was created under an international initiative of the Norwegian Armed Forces with Poland as the host country.
