(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook , publishing operational updates as of 16:00 on Wednesday, October 1, according to Ukrinform.

Russian artillery strikes targeted areas near the settlements of Khrinivka in the Chernihiv region, as well as Khodyne, Bachivsk, Znob-Trubchevska, Studenok, Simeikyne, and Vyntorivka in the Sumy region.

Russian forces carried out eight airstrikes, dropping 25 guided bombs, and launched 100 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including three strikes using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors , four engagements were reported-one of which is still ongoing.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector , Russian troops attacked Ukrainian Defense Forces five times near Vovchansk, Novovasylivka, and Kamianka.

No offensive actions were recorded in the Kupiansk sector , according to the General Staff.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces launched nine attacks near the settlements of Hrekivka, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Myrne, Shandryholove, Torske, and in the direction of Novyi Mir and Drobysheve. Five engagements are still underway.

In the Siversk sector , Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attempts to advance near Hryhorivka, Yampil, and Pereizne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled four attacks in the directions of Bondarne, Minkivka, and Orikhovo-Vasylivka.

In the Toretsk sector , Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions near Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Toretsk, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka. Ukrainian forces have already repelled 11 attacks, with three more ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces launched 19 assaults on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Shakhove, Volodymyrivka, Sukhetske, Myroliubivka, Novopavlivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, and Filiya. Fighting continues in three locations.

In the Novopavlivka sector , Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Vorone, Sosnivka, Novomykolaivka, and Novohryhorivka. Three engagements are still in progress.

In the Huliaipole sector , four engagements were recorded near Poltavka. The settlement of Hirke was hit by an airstrike.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian troops repelled one Russian attack in the direction of Novodanylivka.

In the Prydniprovske sector , Ukrainian units repelled three Russian assaults.

No signs of enemy offensive group formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors .

As previously reported by Ukrinform, total Russian combat losses in the war against Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to October 1, 2025, amount to approximately 1,111,480 personnel, including 920 in the past 24 hours.
