Dr Jiao Wang joined University of Sussex Business School in January 2025. She is an assistant professor in Department of Economics. Her reserach areas include monetary policy, open economy macroeconomics, capital control and macroprudential policy, and macroeconomic modelling. Dr Jiao Wang has published her work in highly ranked journals including Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Interntional Economics, Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking. Before moved to England, Dr Jiao Wang lived in Melbourne, Australia and worked at the University of Melbourne (2016–2024). She obtained her PhD degree from the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia and two Bachelor's degrees (Economics and Physics) from Peking University in Beijing, China.
