Erdogan Awaits Delivering Speech on Climate Change


(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to speak Wednesday at a climate summit being held at the UN headquarters in New York.

The gathering, organized by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, is intended to provide a stage for global leaders participating in the 80th General Assembly session to reveal their updated national climate strategies and harness the opportunities of the emerging clean energy age.

The meeting will highlight the importance of showing dedication and expediting steps to safeguard both humanity and the environment in accordance with the objectives of the Paris Agreement.

This summit precedes the 30th UN climate conference (COP30), which is set to be hosted in Belem, Brazil, from Nov. 10-21.
