Fuel Station Fire In Balkh Causes 800,000Afs Loss
MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A fire breakout at a fuel station caused an estimated 800,000 afghanis in damage, while goods worth over 10 million afghanis in neighboring shops were salvaged in northern Balkh province, an official said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Mohammad Isa Wasiq, told Pajhwok Afghan News the fire broke out today in the 11th police district of the city due to petrol spillage from a storage barrel.
He said operational response teams and the fire department quickly arrived at the scene and controlled the blaze.
