Palestinian Foreign Ministry Warns Of Israeli Occupation's Announcement Of Gaza Invasion, Calls For International Intervention
Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned with extreme concern the boasting by the leaders of the Israeli occupation government about initiating an invasion of Gaza City, exposing the lives of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians to the risk of death and displacement.
Palestinian news agency (WAFA) quoted the ministry as saying that what is happening is an attempt to target civilians, turning Gaza City into a mass grave and an uninhabitable land, just like the wider Gaza Strip, forcing nearly a million Palestinians to flee and move amidst a tight circle of death.
The ministry called for exceptional international intervention to halt this major crime and promote political and diplomatic solutions that guarantee an immediate end of war and aggression, the protection of civilians, the prevention of their displacement from the Gaza Strip, the immediate release of hostages and prisoners, and the sustainable delivery of aid within the framework of implementing the New York Declaration.
