Fidan meets with Qatari FM to discuss Israel’s attack on Doha

(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Sani, on Monday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry reported via the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation-Arab League Joint Extraordinary Summit for foreign ministers in Doha, Qatar. Fidan had also met with Al Sani on Sunday as part of the summit proceedings.

The emergency summit in Qatar is set to address last week’s Israeli strike in Doha, which targeted Hamas leaders, resulting in the deaths of five group members and a Qatari security officer.

A final declaration is anticipated, amid discussions on potential joint military cooperation among Arab and Islamic nations and proposals for a boycott of Israel.
