Turkish, Qatari Foreign Ministers Hold Talks in Doha

(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Sani on Monday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed via the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.

The discussions took place on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation-Arab League Joint Extraordinary Summit in Doha, Qatar. Notably, this marks the second meeting between Fidan and Al Sani during the summit, following their initial encounter on Sunday.

The emergency summit was convened in response to last week’s Israeli attack in Doha, which targeted Hamas leaders, resulting in the deaths of five group members and a Qatari security officer.

A final declaration from the summit is anticipated, with strong calls emerging for enhanced military cooperation among Arab and Islamic nations and for a boycott of Israel.
