
Qatar Stock Exchange Index Rises 0.33% At Beginning Of Today's Trading Closes Higher
Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose at the start of today's trading by 0.33 percent, adding 37.09 points to reach the level of 11,130 points, compared to the previous session's close, backed by four sectors.
Figures from QSE showed a positive performance for the Banking and Financial Services sector at 0.74%, the Real Estate sector at 0.33%, the Transport sector at 0.22%, and the Consumer Goods and Services sector at 0.20%, while performance was negative for the Telecom sector at 0.26%, the Industrial sector at 0.21% and the Insurance sector at 0.19%.
At 10:00 am, QSE recorded 3,855 transactions worth QR 72.199 million, distributed over 35.451 million shares.
QSE index closes higher
The general index closed Sunday's trading higher by 38.63 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 11,131.75 points.
During the session, 116,544,036 shares, valued at QR 277,735,608.463, were traded in 18,063 transactions across all sectors.
The session saw share prices rise in 32 companies, decline in 16, while four others maintained their previous closing.
Market capitalization at the end of the trading session amounted to QR 664,411,166,479.745, compared to QR 662,592,262,902.876 in the previous session.
