Bezzecchi triumphs San Marino MotoGP sprint race

(MENAFN) On Saturday, Marco Bezzecchi won the San Marino MotoGP sprint race following the elimination of Marc Marquez just as he seemed like extending his large championship head.

On his home Marco Simoncelli circuit in Misano Adriatico, Aprilia rider Bezzecchi had a perfect day, winning from the starting spot on the grid, making the Italians happy. He then celebrated his victory with motorcycling legend Valentino Rossi and Formula One star Lando Norris.

He had a wooden leg with him when he stepped onto the podium, it was a gift from a fan, it resembles the cult Italian comedy film 'Three Men and a Leg' which Bezzecchi referred to on his helmet.

However, the 26-year-old had taken at most twelve points for the triumph due to Marc Marquez gliding off the trail on round 6, a few seconds following the 6th time MotoGP winner had taken control of the race.
