Work On Three Development Projects Launched In Bamyan

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Work on three development projects worth nearly 43 million afghanis has been launched in central Bamyan province, an official said on Friday.

Bamyan governor's spokesman Saboor Farzan Sighani told Pajhwok Afghan News the three projects were launched by the Ministry of Public Works in the presence of the provincial governor.

He added these projects included the repair, gravelling, construction of culverts and retaining walls of a 61-kilometer road from the Do Rahi area of Yakawlang district to the market of Yakawlang No. 2 district, and the reconstruction of an 18.5-kilometer road from the same area of Shahr-e-Naw in Siah Dara, Yakawlang district to Dar-e-Karman area of Panjab district via Sadberg Kotal.

In total, the roads measure 79.5 kilometers.

Sighani said these projects included concrete paving of the main road from the Bamyan center to the Shashpul, Gharghanato desert areas, and the construction of a road in the Feroz Bahar area of ​​Yakawlang district.

Speaking on the occasion, Bamyan Governor Maulvi Abdullah Sarhadi said implementation of such infrastructure projects was key to the development of the region and better access to transportation facilities and services for the people.

He stressed serious monitoring and attention to the quality of the projects.
