1,743 Children Remain In Mandatory Evacuation Area In Donetsk Region


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was reported during an online briefing by Yuliia Ryzhakova, Head of the Children's Services Department of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“In nine settlements across five territorial communities where mandatory evacuation of children is in effect-along with their parents, guardians, or other legal representatives-there are currently 1,743 children from 1,372 families,” Ryzhakova stated.

According to her, the largest number remains in the Druzhkivka urban territorial community, where 1,335 families are raising 1,693 children.

She noted that over the past week, 205 children from 133 families have been forcibly evacuated from the region, with the majority-103 children from 73 families-coming from the Druzhkivka community.

As previously reported, the mandatory evacuation of children with their families in the Donetsk region began on April 7, 2023.
