FIBA Reveals Best Coach Nominees for EuroBasket 2025

(MENAFN) The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) revealed on Thursday the list of national team coaches selected for the Best Coach accolade at the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 awards.

"Success at FIBA EuroBasket 2025 isn't only written on the court, but also on the sidelines, where the game's brightest minds are leading their teams to glory," FIBA stated in a release.

The federation added that the award will mark a historic moment, as someone will become the first-ever recipient of the Best Coach honor, "a new honor that will be presented in a fully digital format after the tournament."

Among the eight coaches nominated are those who led their national teams to the quarterfinals, including Türkiye’s Ergin Ataman. These coaches are all contenders in FIBA’s vote for the top coach of the 2025 competition.

FIBA also mentioned that fans can participate in the selection by casting their votes on FIFAfor the inaugural award.

The nominees for the EuroBasket 2025 Best Coach award are:

04Alan Ibrahimagic – Germany
