Amir, Pakistan Prime Minister Discuss Latest Regional And International Developments
Doha, Qatar: The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, held a meeting at the Amiri Diwan today, September 11, 2025. They discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in various fields. They also discussed regional developments and efforts to achieve peace and stability for the benefit of all peoples of the region.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness the Amir welcomed the Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation, expressing his pleasure with this visit, reflecting the depth of relations between the two countries.
For his part, the Pakistani Prime Minister reiterated the Islamic Republic of Pakistan's full solidarity with the State of Qatar and its people, and its support for all measures taken to preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He stressed that the blatant Israeli attack constitutes a violation of Qatar's sovereignty, contravenes all international laws and norms, and undermines the security, stability, and prospects for peace in the region. He commended the efforts of His Highness the Amir of the country to achieve peace and stability in the region.
In this regard, His Highness the Amir expressed his deep appreciation to the Prime Minister for his solidarity and sincere fraternal feelings, as well as his country's supportive stance towards the State of Qatar and its people.
During the meeting, His Highness the Amir and the Pakistani Prime Minister exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest, most notably the current situation in the Middle East.
The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening dialogue and diplomatic solutions as the best way to overcome regional crises and maintain regional and global security.
The meeting was attended by HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs; HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Chief of the Amiri Diwan; HE Dr. Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a number of Their Excellencies senior officials.
From the Pakistani side, it was attended by HE Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; HE Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister of Defense, HE Attaullah Tarar, Minister of Information, and a number of senior officials and members of the accompanying delegation.
His Highness the Amir and the Pakistani Prime Minister held a bilateral meeting after the meeting, during which they exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
