Leanne is programme director for politics and international relations and a senior lecturer in social policy and practice at Cardiff Metropolitan University. She has taught at several universities within school of politics and international relations.

She previously co-led the politics and policy in south-east Asia specialist group at the Political Studies Association, and recently published a book chapter looking at Trafficking of People for Purpose of Organ Removal, a project which had her look at Nepal.
