Kyrgyz’s Leader strongly denounces Israel’s attacks on Qatar’s capital

(MENAFN) Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov condemned Israel’s recent strikes on Qatar’s capital, Doha, his spokesperson Askat Alagozov confirmed.

At a press briefing in Bishkek, Alagozov stated: “These actions violate the principles of international law and the UN Charter, and also damage Qatar's territorial integrity and sovereignty.”

The attack took place on Tuesday when Israeli fighter jets carried out an air raid in Doha, claiming to target senior Hamas leaders. The strikes marked another setback to ongoing efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Residents reported hearing explosions, with video showing thick smoke rising above the city. The Israeli military said it executed a “precise strike” against Hamas leadership but did not provide details of the exact location.

According to reports, an Israeli official indicated that the operation was aimed at senior Hamas figures present in Doha. Meanwhile, a Hamas representative told a local broadcaster that the strike occurred while the group’s negotiators were discussing US President Donald Trump’s recent ceasefire and prisoner exchange proposal.
