China Says Japan's Militarization Raises Global Concerns

(MENAFN) A spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense on Wednesday stated that Japan's swift military expansion, particularly its acquisition of offensive weapons, is fueling global unease and caution. Jiang Bin, the defense spokesperson, delivered the remarks during a regular press conference in response to a question about the record defense budget recently requested by Japan.

Citing the historical pain caused by Japanese militarists 80 years ago, Jiang made it clear that China would not allow such a resurgence of military aggression.

"Today, the resolve of regional countries to defend peace is stronger than ever, and we will not allow Japanese militarism to make a comeback," Jiang declared.

The spokesperson concluded by calling on Japan to confront its historical aggression and to genuinely consider the security concerns of its regional neighbors and the broader international community.
