Chinese President Holds Meeting with Portuguese PM


(MENAFN) Chinese President Xi Jinping held a meeting with Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro in Beijing on Tuesday, emphasizing the strong and growing relationship between the two nations.

During the meeting, Xi highlighted the significant progress made in bilateral cooperation in recent years, underscoring the achievements in various sectors. "The more turbulent and intertwined the international landscape becomes, the greater the need for China and Europe to strengthen communication, enhance mutual trust, and deepen cooperation," Xi said. He urged Portugal to join China in supporting the China-EU partnership framework, advocating for the continued, stable, and healthy development of China-EU relations.
