Russia Says Eliminated 1,065 Ukrainian Soldiers, Downed 198 Drones
Moscow: Russia's Ministry of Defense said on Monday that its forces had killed 1,065 Ukrainian soldiers and shot down 198 unmanned aerial vehicles.
In a statement, the ministry said Russian troops targeted Ukrainian military positions in 136 locations along the front lines, resulting in the reported casualties and the destruction of armored vehicles, artillery units, ammunition depots, and electronic warfare stations.
Since the war began in February 2022, Russia and Ukraine have issued near-daily claims of battlefield gains or repelled attacks, with no independent verification.
