Kuwait Take Part In West Asian Beach Volleyball In Lebanon


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, Sept 8 (KUNA) -- The West Asian Beach Volleyball Championship kicked off on Monday in Batroun, Lebanon under the backing of the Lebanese Volleyball Federation with the partaking of both male and female squads from Kuwait.
Head of the delegation accompanying the teams Issa Al-Saleem said to KUNA that he hopes better results for the national team in this competition especially as they recently took part in the Arab Championship.
Head of the stadiums committee of the Lebanese Volleyball Federation, Francois Mansour expressed to KUNA of his keenness for a successful tournament this year as it succeeds the Arab Championship, which took place on the same playing fields, helping the committee in improving conditions for the players.
He also greatly valued the presence of Arab nations in the tournament that had not been hosted in Lebanon for many years, while also noting the support of the West Asian Volleyball Federation in hosting this championship on the renowned Batroun playing fields.
The National Team head coach Ahmad Abdulrazzaq said to KUNA that the women's team was not able to surpass the Lebanese team, which took over the match with 2-0 score as the tournament kicked off.
The Kuwaiti delegation headed by Issa Al-Saleem includes administrative staff member Reem Al-Zaabi. (end)
