First Deputy Prime Minister Honors GCC Civil Service Pioneers

KUWAIT, Sept 3 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Saud Al-Sabah extolled civil service pioneers in the Gulf Cooperation Council member states for their diligence and dedication.
Addressing a ceremony to honor the leading personalities and projects in the areas of civil service and social affairs on Wednesday, Sheikh Fahad expressed hope for more achievements in the efforts to enhance social development and joint action in the region.
The first deputy prime minister welcomed the attendees, notably the GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi and the heads of HR and civil service departments of the GCC countries.
He spoke highly of efforts made by Al-Budaiwi and Director-General of the Executive Office of the GCC ministers of labor and social affairs' council to put the issue of cooperation in the social and labor on the agenda of the GCC.
He thanked the corporations and companies for contributing to the success of the activities of the executive office and providing good examples for corporate social responsibility (CSR).
During this celebration, a group of corporations will be honored for their efforts to promote employment of national workforce, and a number of individuals for their outstanding professionalism, Sheikh Fahad pointed out.
On his part, Al-Budaiwi said the honoring of efficient administrative cadres and pioneering corporations would give impetus to the GCC drive for sustainable development and joint action.
He affirmed keenness of the GCC member countries on supporting the civil service sectors through public-private sector partnerships and modernizing the administrative systems in keeping with the prerequisites and targets of sustainable development.
The GCC chief spoke highly of the roles of the public profit organizations in promoting voluntary action and fostering the kills of workers.
The celebration was hold on the eve of the 11th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Social Affairs and Development. (end)
