JKBOSE Postpones Exams, Schools Closed

Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Tuesday postponed the Class 10 and 11 examinations scheduled for September 3.
The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) also ordered closure of all schools across the division in view of the prevailing weather conditions.
In a post on X, JKBOSE announced,“All examinations of Class 10 and 11 scheduled for 3rd September stand postponed. Fresh dates shall be notified separately.” The board advised students and parents to remain updated through official notifications regarding the rescheduled exams.
Meanwhile, DSEJ issued an order directing the closure of all government and private schools on September 3 after the Meteorological Department issued warnings of heavy rainfall, cloudbursts, flash floods, and landslides.
Authorities said the decision was taken to ensure the safety of students and staff, while online classes have been recommended wherever feasible to continue academic activities.
