Doha: The Qatar Chamber (QC) took part in the Qatar-India Joint Investment Team meeting held in New Delhi, with the participation of senior officials and representatives from both the public and private sectors of the two countries.
In a statement, QC said that the session brought together prominent representatives from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Qatar Investment Promotion Agency (Invest Qatar), and the Qatar Free Zones Authority. Discussions focused on ways to enhance cooperation between the chambers of commerce in both countries, particularly in supporting entrepreneurs, exchanging institutional expertise, and organizing joint events.
QC Board Member Mohamed bin Mahdi Al Ahbabi represented the chamber at the event. Al Ahbabi noted that India is a key trading partner for the State of Qatar and the Qatari private sector, highlighting that the trade volume between the two countries reached approximately QR 48 billion in 2024.
He also reviewed Qatar's investment advantages, including its advanced infrastructure, logistics services, and supportive legislative framework, positioning it as an attractive and competitive business environment. He invited Indian businessmen to invest in Qatar and explore its growing opportunities.
Al Ahbabi stressed the importance of strengthening institutional relations in priority sectors and identifying strategic projects in infrastructure, technology, and the food industries.
