Panama Will Receive Heavy Rains Affecting The Country Until September 3Rd -
The passage of Tropical Wave No. 28 and the activation of a low-pressure system will generate significant rainfall across much of the country from today through Wednesday, September 3, according to the Panamanian Institute of Hydrology and Meteorology (IMHPA). Due to this situation, the IMHPA (Meteorological Advisory) issued a meteorological watch for the provinces of Chiriquí, Bocas del Toro, Veraguas, Coclé, Panamá Oeste, Colón, Panamá, and the Ngäbe-Buglé region. Less intense rain is expected in the rest of the country. Authorities urge citizens to strengthen precautionary measures, especially in vulnerable areas:
– Beware of possible floods and landslides.
-Keep an eye on the weather and nearby bodies of water.
-Take precautions against sudden flooding of rivers and streams.
