According to Artem Kobzar, acting mayor of Sumy, a headquarters has been set up in the city to deal with the aftermath of the shelling. City council employees, municipal enterprises, and public organizations are working on the site to help people board up windows and repair damage.
As reported, a large fire broke out at night as a result of Russian drone strike on non-residential buildings in Sumy, and there are casualties.
