Polish tennis player gives young boy cap in heartwarming moment

(MENAFN) Polish tennis player Kamil Majchrzak recently met a young supporter following a viral video that appeared to show a man snatching a boy’s hat during the US Open.

Majchrzak posted two clips on his official Instagram showing him shaking hands with two boys and presenting them with gifts, including a cap similar to the one taken from the child in the viral footage. "Today after warm up, I had a nice meeting," the tennis player wrote, adding: "Do you recognise \[the cap]?"

The original video, reportedly from Majchrzak’s Thursday match, captured him interacting with fans before offering a boy the cap he had been wearing. A man standing next to the child then grabbed the hat before the boy could take it himself, leaving the child visibly pleading for its return.

The clip quickly spread on social media, drawing widespread criticism toward the man, identified by multiple reports as a Polish CEO of a paving company. Attempts to reach him for comment were reportedly made.

Majchrzak also shared a photo of himself smiling beside the boy now wearing the cap. "Hello World, together with Brock we wish you a great day!" he captioned the image.
