Saudi business executives attend Damascus International Fair

(MENAFN) Saudi business executives attending the ongoing Damascus International Fair have highlighted prospects in trade, industry, and tourism as Syria seeks to rebuild after years of conflict.

The 62nd edition of the fair, running under the theme "Syria Welcomes the World," opened Wednesday and will continue until September 5 at Damascus Exhibition City. The event hosts around 800 companies from 20 countries, including Egypt, Türkiye, Sudan, Belgium, South Africa, and Pakistan, across a 95,000-square-meter exhibition space.

Saudi Arabia is the Guest of Honor, represented by over 80 private-sector firms as well as government organizations such as the ministries of Energy and Investment, the Saudi Export Development Authority, and the Saudi-Syrian Business Council.

Faisal Majed Al-Muhaideb, CEO of Masdar and representative of the Al-Muhaidib Group pavilion, told Xinhua that the group is showcasing all eight of its companies at the fair, covering industrial, commercial, agricultural, and real estate sectors.
