Khyber Pakhtunkhwa To Provide Rs. 2 Million For Each Flood Victim

The Finance Advisor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mazamil Aslam, has assured that the provincial government will bear the full cost of the damages caused by the recent floods and will address the victims' issues using its own resources and funds.

In a statement, Aslam emphasized that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is providing all possible assistance to the affected individuals and is ensuring that compensation payments are being made transparently.

He announced that the heirs of those who lost their lives due to the floods will receive Rs. 2 million each, while those who were injured will be compensated with Rs. 500,000 per person.

Relief Packages for Affected Families
He further elaborated that affected families will be provided with ration coupons worth Rs. 15,000. Owners of completely destroyed houses will receive Rs. 1 million, while those with partially damaged homes will be compensated with Rs. 500,000. Additionally, owners of homes that were flooded or filled with mud will be given Rs. 100,000 in compensation.

Support for Shops and Livestock
Aslam also stated that shop owners affected by the floods will receive compensation of up to Rs. 500,000. The provincial government is also considering compensation for livestock and crop losses, with an official announcement expected soon.

Comparison with Punjab's Efforts
While acknowledging that Punjab has more resources at its disposal, Aslam expressed hope that the provincial government there would also provide appropriate compensation for its flood victims.

He reaffirmed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's government stands firmly with the people in this difficult time, and the rehabilitation process will continue without delay.

This comprehensive relief package reflects the provincial government's commitment to supporting the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in their recovery from the devastating floods.
