Hunger Claims 5 More Lives In Gaza -- Authorities

RAMALLAH, Aug 29 (KUNA) -- Five Gazans including two babies died over the past 24 hours due to hunger and poor nutrition, the local health authorities declared on Friday.
The authorities said in a press statement that the whole number of fatalities related to hunger in the strip climbed to 322 martyrs including 121 babies.
The statement indicated that 44 Gazans, among them six children, died due to the same causes since August 22, when the UN declared confirmation of famine in the war-devastated region. (end)
