Poland, Canada Premiers Discuss Boosting Ties

(MENAFN) Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk met Monday with visiting Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to deepen cooperation across key areas including security, energy, and economic development.

Tusk emphasized Poland’s need for “reliable partners ready for close cooperation” particularly in nuclear and renewable energy — sectors where Canada’s expertise could play a pivotal role.

He noted that ties between the two nations are already strong, rooted in shared priorities and mutual interests. Both leaders reaffirmed their continued support for Ukraine during the high-level talks.

Following the meeting, a joint statement announced that Poland and Canada will begin holding annual bilateral consultations aimed at advancing their upgraded strategic partnership.
