Pokrovsk After Three Years Of War: Town Reduced To Ruins

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the Dnipro Operational Strategic Group of Troops reported this on Telegram and released a video footage.

“Before the full-scale invasion, over 62,000 people lived in Pokrovsk. As of August 2025, only about 1,000 residents remain. Over three and a half years, the town has endured hundreds of brutal attacks by Russia. Hundreds of civilians have been killed or injured. Factories have been destroyed, cars damaged, residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, and even grocery stores have been hit,” the statement reads.

The Dnipro OSGT released video showing a stark contrast between the peaceful life that once existed and the current reality, where time seems frozen amid the ruins.

“Despite the pain and suffering, Pokrovsk stands. Pokrovsk is the western gateway to the Donbas. And the 7th Air Assault Corps stands to ensure this gateway remains unbreakable to Russian occupiers,” the Dnipro OSGT emphasized.
