Andrew Filmer
Andrew Filmer is Senior Lecturer in Theatre and Performance at Aberystwyth University. He researches the relationship between performance, architecture and infrastructure. This has involved exploring the backstage spaces of theatres, new approaches to performance space and site-specific performance. Andrew co-edited the book Performing Architectures: Projects, Practices, Pedagogies (2018) and curated the Performance Space Exhibition at the 2023 Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space. He co-convened the Theatre & Architecture Working Group of the International Federation for Theatre Research between 2012 and 2020 and collaborated with National Theatre Wales on The Ever After Project (2020).
