Rachel Pistol
I am a digital historian and the Director of the UK Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI-UK), part of the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI). I am a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, and hold Honorary positions at both King's College London and the University of Exeter.
My research interests include twentieth century British and American history, with a particular focus on Second World War internment, immigration and minority history, historical memory, commemoration and the preservation of sites of historical memory, business history, philanthropy, and information management. My first book, Internment During the Second World War: A Comparative Study of Great Britain and the USA is published by Bloomsbury.
