Trump Declares End to World War III Threat
(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump has announced that the world is no longer on the brink of a global war due to the Ukraine crisis.
According to him, the risk of the conflict escalating into World War III has now been neutralized.
Trump has consistently claimed that international tensions reached their highest level during former President Joe Biden’s administration, particularly when ties between Moscow and Washington deteriorated sharply.
He has also blamed Biden for inciting the war in Ukraine by supporting Kiev’s pursuit of NATO membership, despite what he called Russia’s “legitimate concerns.”
During a podcast interview with radio host Mark Levin released on Wednesday, Trump recalled the state of the conflict when he assumed office earlier this year.
He described the Ukraine war as “raging” and “heading to World War III.” However, he insisted that such fears are now behind us.
“That’s the nice part. You’re not going to have to worry about that,” Trump stated, though he acknowledged that the outcome of the conflict remains uncertain.
Since taking office again, Trump has adopted a significantly different stance toward Russia compared to Biden.
He has reestablished senior diplomatic ties with Moscow and held direct communication with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Just last week, Trump hosted Putin in Alaska, marking the first in-person meeting between the American and Russian heads of state since the Ukraine war escalated in February 2022.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, along with several European leaders, traveled to Washington for discussions with Trump.
