Mada Centre Concludes 2025 Summer Camp For Persons With Disabilities
Doha, Qatar: Assistive Technology Centre Qatar (Mada) successfully concluded the 2025 summer camp, a pioneering initiative aimed at teaching children with disabilities between the ages of 10 and 15 the fundamentals of programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI).
More than 40 participants with various disabilities took part in the camp's activities, which ran during July and August.
The period of July 6 to 8 was allocated for boys, while July 13 to 15 was allocated for girls, and August 17 to 19 was allocated for the group of deaf innovators.
The camp provided an inclusive and accessible educational environment that gave participants the opportunity to learn in an enjoyable and engaging atmosphere, while also enhancing their social skills through teamwork and collaboration.
Among the camp's main goals was striking a balance between education and entertainment, ensuring that children with disabilities enjoyed a unique learning experience that fostered creativity, innovation, and teamwork.
One of the highlights of this year's camp was the introduction of the innovative inclusive learning tool 'UGOT City Guardian,' a collection of robots shaped like vehicles that participants assembled, programmed, and even raced, creating an interactive and exciting experience that blended technology, learning, and fun.
On this occasion, Media and Publications Officer at Mada Centre Khalifa Al Mutlaq said that the success of the 2025 summer camp reflects Mada's commitment to empowering children with disabilities through an inclusive and accessible educational environment that makes innovation available to all.
“This year, we focused on integrating programming, robotics, and AI to open new horizons that enhance participants' creativity and build their confidence.
These initiatives are not just educational activities, but a true investment in a generation capable of contributing effectively to the digital society and building a more inclusive and advanced future for all,” he added.
