West Virginia Shooting Leaves Two Dead


(MENAFN) A shooting incident in West Virginia on Monday resulted in the deaths of two individuals, including a suspected shooter, and left three others injured, according to reports from local media.

Per a news agency, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department indicated they responded around 10:30 a.m. to the Mount Carbon vicinity, located approximately 10 miles (16 kilometers) northwest of Beckley, following alerts about a gunshot victim and an armed suspect.

Authorities discovered the suspected shooter deceased inside his residence from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot injury, the sheriff’s office stated.

Additionally, a second deceased victim was found beneath a nearby carport.

Three other individuals sustained minor gunshot injuries and received medical treatment for wounds that were not deemed life-threatening, officials confirmed.
