Shooting Claims Seven Lives in Ecuador
(MENAFN) On Sunday morning, a fatal shooting took place in the northwestern Ecuadorian province of Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals, as reported by local media.
According to a report, a group of armed men dressed in black arrived at a billiard hall in Santo Domingo, the provincial capital, early Sunday and began firing at those inside the establishment.
Following the event, local law enforcement sealed off the crime scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that among the deceased were a retired police officer and a suspected leader of a criminal gang known as "Rasta."
