Riona Moodley

Dr Riona Moodley is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law & Justice (UNSW) and researcher at the Institute of Climate Risk and Response UNSW (ICRR), with specialisations in commercial litigation, corporations law, refugee and human rights law. Her research at the ICRR is focused on a range of climate law issues, including strategic climate litigation, access to climate justice and climate displacement

Prior to joining UNSW, Riona worked as Senior Solicitor at the Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS) in asylum and refugee law, and has over extensive experience working as a senior commercial litigation lawyer at top-tier national and international law firms, including Jones Day and Ashurst Australia. Riona was awarded her PhD at the Faculty of Law & Justice, UNSW in October 2024.
