Pakistan Leads Regional Defense Conference for Top Military Leaders
(MENAFN) On Saturday, Pakistan convened a critical regional conference for top military leaders, hosting defense chiefs from the US, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The Islamabad meeting, themed "Strengthening Bonds, Securing Peace," focused heavily on enhancing counterterrorism collaboration, expanding joint military training, and deepening defense diplomacy, according to an official Pakistani military release.
“In an era defined by transnational threats and complex hybrid challenges, the imperative for deeper military-to-military cooperation, strategic dialogue, and mutual trust is paramount.
Pakistan remains fully committed to working with partner nations to build a secure and prosperous regional environment,” said Pakistan Army chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
Delegates examined the evolving security dynamics across Central and South Asia, exchanged best practices for crisis management, and reaffirmed their resolve to safeguard peace, sovereignty, and trust among nations.
They underscored their unified stance against shared security threats, including terrorism, cyberattacks, and violent extremism, emphasizing respect for national sovereignty.
The participating officials also lauded Pakistan’s leadership role, warm hospitality, and proactive approach to fostering inclusive and progressive defense partnerships.
