Hotwire Names UK Managing Director

(MENAFN- PRovoke) LONDON - Technology agency Hotwire has appointed a new UK managing director, after the departure of UK CEO Jeremy Lucas last month.

Charlotte Harvey takes on the role after just three months at VCCP agency Good Relations, where she was named as head of corporate in March; she previously headed corporate at Grayling for three years.

The move comes after a string of changes at the agency and its parent company, Enero. In May, Hotwire global CEO Heather Kernahan announced she would be leaving after four years in the role and nine with the agency, while earlier this month Enero named Ian Ball as its new CEO .

Enero recently announced it was divesting its adtech agency, OBMedia, by selling its 51% stake to the minority shareholders. The holding group said the move supported its strategy to streamline its agency portfolio and accelerate growth by focusing on its“three specialist, high-performing, profitable agencies,” including Hotwire.

Lucas stepped down from the UK leadership role as Hotwire underwent a restructure, with the agency's UK marketing services team transitioning to the ROI·DNA brand – the San Francisco-based B2B digital marketing agency Hotwire acquired in 2022.

He joined Hotwire as its first UK CEO in 2023 after a previous restructure; he was previously MD and head of corporate reputation at Edelman, after leading corporate affairs at Ogilvy. Lucas' next move is not yet known.

In her new role, Harvey will lead Hotwire's UK business, overseeing strategy, client success, and team development. She said:“I'm joining Hotwire at a defining moment for the tech and communications industries. The UK has long been a hub for bold ideas and brave brands, and I look forward to helping our clients navigate what's next while building a culture where people thrive and do their best work.”

Harvey, who worked at Edelman in the early days of her career, spent more than a decade at infrastructure giant Amey, where she was director of communications and social value. While at Amey she repositioned the communications function from a tactical support role to a strategic driver of business outcomes, reporting directly to the CEO. She later founded her own consultancy, working with clients including Balfour Beatty, Mott MacDonald, Sodexo, and the Global Fund.

Hotwire Global chief growth officer Laura Macdonald said:“Charlotte is an exceptional leader whose ability to blend creativity with commercial focus makes her uniquely positioned to drive Hotwire's next chapter in the UK. Her experience guiding complex organizations through transformation, along with her commitment to inclusive leadership, makes her a perfect fit for Hotwire's continued growth.”

Harvey's appointment comes as Hotwire continues to invest in AI, including the expansion of its global AI Lab and Sven Winnefeld returning to Hotwire as director and AI lead for Continental Europe, after a spell at Tyto.
