Bangladesh Air Force Training Jet Crashes
(MENAFN) A training jet belonging to the Bangladesh Air Force tragically crashed onto a college campus in Dhaka, the nation’s capital, resulting in at least one fatality, according to an official from the fire service.
The aircraft struck the premises of Milestone School and College located in the Uttara area. Video footage captured from the scene showed thick smoke and flames billowing from the crash site.
Md. Rafi Al Faruque, a control room duty officer with the Fire Service and Civil Defense, confirmed to a news agency that the accident claimed one life.
The Inter-Services Public Relations, which is the military’s media division, reported that the plane departed at 1:06 pm local time (07:06 GMT).
