Kyle Walker-Peters Joins West Ham United
(MENAFN) West Ham United officially announced on Sunday the acquisition of England international Kyle Walker-Peters, who has signed a three-year contract after departing from Southampton.
The 28-year-old defender, who holds two senior England caps, joins the London-based club following a five-year spell at Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium, where he featured in more than 200 matches.
Speaking to the club's website, Walker-Peters shared his enthusiasm about the transfer, stating: “It feels like it has been a long time coming. I’ve been linked with a move to the Club in the past, and I’m just happy to be here now.”
He further added, “I like to play with intensity, give my all in every game, and I want to try and achieve special things here.”
West Ham's head coach Graham Potter expressed confidence in the signing, noting his admiration for Walker-Peters and anticipating that he will bring "high-quality competition and good character" to the squad.
Walker-Peters started his professional journey at Tottenham Hotspur, where he made his Premier League debut in 2017.
That same year, he was a member of the England team that secured victory at the FIFA U20 World Cup held in South Korea.
By the conclusion of the 2024–25 season, the experienced full-back had accumulated 148 Premier League appearances, according to a news agency.
