Eight Amarnath Pilgrims Injured In Road Accident In J & K's Udhampur
Officials said that the accident occurred when a truck (PB65AV-9318) rammed into an Innova (UP81BN-3701) carrying pilgrims returning from the Pahalgam route of the Amarnath Yatra, reported news agency JKNS.
Of the eight persons onboard, three suffered minor injuries and were administered first aid at the site. However, five pilgrims sustained moderate to serious injuries and were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Associated Hospital Udhampur for specialised treatment.
Police said that a case has been registered and further investigation into the incident is underway.
