Russian industrial site gets attacked by Ukraine

(MENAFN) A drone attack attributed to Ukraine resulted in multiple casualties at an industrial site in the Russian city of Izhevsk, approximately 1,000 kilometers east of Moscow, according to regional authorities.

The head of the Udmurt Republic, Aleksandr Brechalov, confirmed the overnight incident via social media but did not specify the exact facility that was targeted. He stated that the strike triggered a fire at the plant, and emergency crews were deployed to contain the flames.

Later updates from the governor reported three fatalities and 35 individuals hospitalized, with ten of them in critical condition.

This strike is part of an ongoing series of long-distance attacks launched by Ukraine into Russian territory. According to official defense sources, Russian forces intercepted 60 drones overnight, describing them as "kamikaze" types commonly used in such operations.
