Russian Foreign Minister Lands in Kyrgyzstan for High-Level Talks
(MENAFN) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in the Kyrgyz resort town of Cholpon-Ata on Saturday for a significant official visit. The trip includes high-level talks and participation in a regional security summit, as reported by media.
Lavrov's agenda will feature meetings with his Kyrgyz counterpart, Jeenbek Kulubayev, and President Sadyr Japarov.
Additionally, the minister will attend the Council of Foreign Ministers meeting for the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a Moscow-led security alliance.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the visit will focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation across political, economic, military, cultural, and humanitarian domains.
“There will also be an exchange of views on key regional and international developments and prospects for advancing Eurasian integration,” noted Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.
